Over the last 20 years working with creative agencies and fast-moving B2B and B2C startups, I've developed the skillset to solve the right problems, build strategic roadmaps, and then execute on them with smart product design.
I believe user and business outcomes are paramount. Solutions must be feasible, intuitively guiding users to their goals while delivering value aligned with business objectives.
Currently, I work as a fractional design leader with startups ranging from stealth to scale-stage as well as with large corporate companies.
I'm passionate about partnering with startups and design teams at all stages with a particular fondness for work in healthcare. My most impactful work to date has been at ConnectRN driving innovation for nurses, and at Grouper promoting healthy living for seniors.
While work fills much of my day, I'm also a devoted father and husband who'll always lean towards adventure.

What might look like:
I come in to lead product design on an on-going basis, and can be your first design hire or as a leader for your existing team. I live and breathe your product just like a full-time employee, but with the flexibility of fewer hours on a given week.
Why might this make sense:
You need someone to completely own and drive design at your company
You need on-going support on multiple initiatives
You’re not quite ready to hire a design leader full time
You’re on a tight budget and want to make every hour of work count
Project-based
What might this look like:
I come in to own and lead a design project with a specific scope. We figure out a scope that makes sense and deliver it on time and on budget. We can discuss on-going engagement if needed, but there’s no pressure.
Why might this make sense:
You have a specific problem to solve or goal you want to achieve (eg. Research, Proof of Concept, Design Systems, or others)
You’re not sure if you’ll still need design support after this project
You’re not ready for a fractional engagement, and want to try out a project first
